Fault Diagnosis Methodology Training

In the current productivity context, equipment availability has become a fundamental issue. As production personnel are on the front line, they must react quickly to technical production incidents.
The aim of this course is to give users of production equipment a methodology for identifying the causes of malfunctions so that production can be restarted efficiently.

TRAINING OBJECTIVES
> Become familiar with the technical operation of automated equipment:
- The general operation of automated equipment (structure, role of the components, vocabulary)
- Functional analysis role-play (FESTO training equipment)
> Apply an analysis method suited to the situation:
- Debrief on the various methodologies used and on the personal approach taken to a malfunction (methodology, behaviour, preconceived solutions, habits)
- Tools for establishing the facts (IS/IS NOT, 5W1H, functional analysis)
- Role-play on a common fault (without guidance)

> Carry out a diagnosis by applying a methodology:
- Fault diagnosis role-play on real-life cases
- The origin of the fault: analysing the information coming from the system
- Fault hypotheses and how to verify them
- Preparing the intervention and making the equipment safe
- The consequences of a malfunction on the quality of the products manufactured

> Communicate with the technical departments and report on the intervention:
- Reporting findings and/or the intervention to the technical departments
- The importance of traceability of actions
- Collection of relevant information for the fault history

3-day session with practical work on training equipment (adaptable for customised modules)
