An ATEX balance is a balance specifically designed for use in explosive atmospheres (ATEX zones), that is, environments where there is a risk of explosion due to the presence of gases, flammable vapours or combustible dusts.

These balances are compliant with the ATEX directives (2014/34/EU) governing the equipment used in such risk areas.
